The DJ Mix Academy (DMA) is New England's only disc jockey school. Our institution is a state-of-the-art academy catering to the DJ and non-DJ alike. Courses have been designed to match various interest levels, from introductory courses on mixing and scratching to advanced courses that will prepare individuals to successfully prosper as a club or mobile DJ.
The DMA opened its doors in 2002 and was featured on FOX 25 News, Chronicle, the Boston Globe, the Improper Bostonian, and the Boston Herald. Our school allows people of all ages to enjoy and learn the art of mixing music and enables students to take their interest to the next level.
Its co-founders are veteran DJs Peter Souhleris and Manolo Ferreiros, widely considered to be two of Boston's most respected and recognized DJs with a combined three decades of experience. Together with Joshua Carl, Mark ("Cooch") Cucinelli, Axel Foley, Marc Gaudette, DJ Jayceeoh, Mike Maddaloni, Joey Melanson, DJ ON&ON, Eric Patel, and Jonathan Shadows, the DMA team has helped aspiring DJs to shorten their learning curve and improve their performance.
The academy thrives on an emphasis on maintaining a fun yet professional atmosphere that's non-intimidating for participants, making our school attractive to both new and existing DJs.
Responding to our customers who have contacted us looking for a DJ, we have formed DJ Mix Entertainment, the academy's new mobile DJ service. Professional DJs, top-of-the-line DJ equipment, and music spanning multiple generations and genres for weddings, school events, corporate events, and private parties.
