Dom Armano is an Instructor for our club DJ'ing courses (DJ 171/271/371). Dom has been a Boston-area club, radio, and mixshow DJ for almost 20 years for stations like WERZ 107.1FM, WXKS KISS 108FM, and thedancestation.com. Dom recently landed a mixshow on Sirius Satellite Radio's Remix Channel 62. |

Joshua Carl was surrounded by music & performance before he took his first steps. Its only right that those two elements have taken him to the top of his game, and have led him down a road of performance with a dedication to music and the craft of DJ'ing abroad. On stage Joshua's style is head-turning to say the least, with influences from every type of music energy is unavoidable, and often just as many people crowd the booth to watch as crowd the dance floor. Josh serves as a Lead Instructor for several of our courses. |

D-Wiz (the Jewler), an Instructor for the academy's scratch courses (DJ 131, 231), fell in love with art of DJ'ing from the moment he touched his first pair of turntables over 15 years ago. Influenced by hip hop and jazz, he has crafted his own style and continually seeks to master his instrument. With a neuroscience background, he applies principles of motor learning and memory to his training routines. He currently has a residency at the Middlesex Lounge on Saturday nights, a Cambridge, MA hotspot. |

Pat Fontes is a Senior Instructor for our DJ 101, 111, 171, and 201 courses. He is the manager and music buyer of Satellite Records in Boston, one of the largest underground electronic music stores in New England. Pat also has been busy as of late producing with his music collective partners Shadows of Society and been doing a lot of solo work to push the tech sound he has supported and played throughout the past 10 years. He has dedicated his life to his passion of dance music and in turn works day in and day out playing, making, selling, and now teaching the music and art he has for so long been dedicated to. |

JayCeeOh is a Lead Instructor for our scratch and turntablism courses (DJ 131, 231 & 331). Jay was the host of Emerson College’s WERS 88.9 @ Nite Thursday radio program and placed 3rd in the Boston Heat of the 2004 DMC USA/Technics DJ Championship. He DJs in the turntablist collective the Deck Demons who currently have a track on the "Return of the DJ Vol. 5.5" out on Bomb Hiphop Records. In addition, Jay spins in a band, Audible Mainframe, which recently released its first CD titled “Framework,” and is featured on the new KRS-ONE album "Keep Right." |

Claudia Killmon is a Teaching Assistant with the DJ Mix Academy and a DJ with DJ Mix Entertainment and Dancejam Entertainment. Claudia spent several years as a DJ Assistant with some of the top DJs in Brazil and has taken her love of music and passion for DJ’ing on the road. Claudia is currently enrolled in the DJ Mix Academy’s courses and hopes to take her DJ skills to the next level. |

Chris Lewis is the academy's official photographer. While studying his craft, Chris also worked as a freelance photographer in Houston, Austin, and Dallas since 2000. Not limited to one setting, he has worked in and out of the studio shooting portrait, journalistic, promotional, and art photography. In addition to photography, Chris has a background in theater and communications and is excited to be apart of the DJ Mix Academy because he loves music almost as much as the camera. |

DJ Manolo, an icon in Boston nightlife for over a decade, Manolo has held residencies in Boston's most prestigious clubs such as Avalon (1994-2001), and Roxy (1992-1994). In a recent poll conducted by Stuff @ Night; a local nightlife and fashion publication, Manolo was voted "Boston's Best DJ, 2002". Manolo's production skills have earned him recognition on a global level as well, with original production work such as "Bolero", and his remix of Taylor Dayne's "How Many", both finding their way into the Billboard Dance Charts. In addition Manolo has shared the stage with DJ's such as, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tenaglia, Sasha & Digweed and Junior Vasquez to name a few. |

Mike Maddaloni is our Interactive Media Director and consults us on exploring Internet technologies including a redesign of the DJ Mix Academy Web site. Mike started his DJ career both on the radio and at functions at WNEK-FM, his college's radio station. He has stayed close to the music scene and has entertained for parties and weddings over the years. Mike is also a mobile DJ with Dancejam Entertainment. Mike is the founder and president of Dunkirk Systems, an Internet consulting firm based in Chicago. |

Alexis Mercado is a Teaching Assistant/Marketing Rep for the academy. He discovered house music when was given a mix tape from a friend in New York City in the 80s. Alexis’ interest in DJ’ing came not from scratching or turntablism but from long, smooth, beat-matched mixes. He is a self-taught DJ and has spun at several school dances and clubs over the years. Alexis is a DJ Mix Academy alumnus and interned with the academy in 2005. In addition, he spends time in his home studio honing his music production skills. |

DJ ON&ON is a Lead Instructor for our hip-hop DJ’ing courses (DJ 161, 261 & 361) and scratch courses (DJ 131 & 231). Audiences from Paris, London, Germany, Barbados, and clubs across the country have experienced DJ ON&ON's inventive, eclectic brand of selection and blending. He was on the "In Ya Mouth Mix Show" on 1690AM as well as WMWM 91.7FM. DJ ON&ON has also worked with Sunsplash Tours headlining spring break events from Barbados to Jamaica and was featured nationally on FUSE Television’s spring break coverage from Negril. |

Eric Patel is a Senior Instructor and Director of Operations for the DJ Mix Academy and a DJ with DJ Mix Entertainment. Participating in the first offerings of DJ 101 and 201 in 2003, Eric began his DJ'ing career in 1987 as owner and DJ of Dancejam Entertainment. Since then he has DJ'd on WRUV 90.1 FM in Burlington, VT and on WUML 91.5 FM in Lowell, MA as well as Vertigo in Boston. In addition, Eric is a member of Groove Promotion's record pool, the X-Mix/DJ Wholesale Club, and the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA). He has also attended the Winter Music Conference and Remix Hotel in 2003 & 2004. |

Peter Souhleris has been a well-known and respected Boston-area disc jockey for over 10 years with both past and present residencies in Boston-area clubs such as Avalon, Karma, Vertigo, and Vision. Peter is currently instructing several students with private DJ lessons. In addition to being an experienced DJ, Peter has a strong business background and a degree in architectural design. His knowledge of and passion for DJ'ing along with his strong entrepreneurial and business management skills makes Peter a great asset in establishing a successful DJ institution. |
